Our Story
Private Society is a 5-piece indie, synth rock band from Boulder CO. Creating swirling textures over dance-laced rhythms with beautiful violin leads, this band delivers sing-along chorus’ in a tight package. 2024 has seen the release of their first single, “Seven Seas”, a moody, punk infused, pop song. The rest of the forthcoming record will highlight tight arrangements and deeply felt song writing, evoking bands like The Cure, Vampire Weekend, and The Killers.
Who are we? Private Society began as a project between brothers, Peter and Rawley. After adding in Autumn (at the time Rawley's girlfriend, but now they're married), Josh (a friend from the server community), and Marshall (thanks, Craigslist), the full project took flight in 2023.

Singer-songwriter and producer, Rawley Gunnels, has been winding his way through his musical journey since age 9.

She holds violin performance degrees from DU and CU, she's classically trained and plays in the Boulder Phil and Sphere Ensemble.

Self-taught drummer, performing all across Colorado with many local artists
Marshall Hayes
Bass, vocals, songwriter
Marshall learned his first songs at the age of 11 playing thrash metal. After spending years as a folk singer songwriter, he made the bass guitar his priority. Creating in all colors, Marshall has made many records and EP's in his career as a bassist all along the way.
